Shooting For the Moon
Here’s a great family activity that doesn’t break the bank, model rockets (3d printing comes in below). I got them on a lark but it was way more fun than expected, both the girls gave it a 10/10:

Launch 3 (and the end of the first rocket):
So after we lost the first rocket I found it was cheaper to get a rocket with another set then buy it by itself. In the spirit of my 3P, and being a cheapass, I wanted to see if I could 3d print a replica. I found a close model to start with and started tinkering. So after a bit (see #3dprinting slack channel) I think I finally have a workable facsimile of a model rocket, cost me 2 bucks a rocket.
Compared to an unfinished retail rocket:

In the spirit of cheap all materials were scavenged around the house, the recovery wadding is toilet paper:

Can’t wait to try it out as soon as we get a non-rainy weekend!
